Improvise, play by ear and hear scores in your head. My approach is groundbreaking yet based on tried and tested common sense principles.
If you understand the language of music, I believe you can learn to "speak" it too! The training I offer musically empowers you and unlocks your expressive talents in ways that traditional methods of musical learning do not. Learning to play pieces by rote does not interest me, nor does a dry, theoretical approach.
Musical fluency is achieved by learning through play, nurturing a sense of joy in mastery without pressure. Generating real musicianship and unlocking inner rhythmic and tonal awareness is my passion. I provide students with all the necessary resources so they do not need to buy additional learning materials. I create patterns with backing tracks, beautiful pieces and many other innovative learning resources. Students also have access to an online Blog. All this is available on my PlayPianoFluently website.
The guidance I offer is always tailored to fit the unique needs and style of each individual. I am happy to help students prepare for graded examinations and diplomas although my learning specification does not correspond with any existing board. Passing examinations is no indication that true musical fluency is being achieved.
