I am an event pianist serving the Washington, DC metro area and beyond. I've played for events at notable DC venues such as The Organization of American States (2013 AIPAC New Leadership Summit and Banquet) and The George Washington Masonic National Memorial (Memorial Theater). In October of 2014 I was selected to be the dance accompanist for The Loudoun School of Ballet. In August of 2013 I was selected to be the resident pianist at the new, five-star Salamander Resort and Spa, where I played cocktail music three nights per week for most of their inaugural year.
My style is unique. I specialize in artistic interpretations of popular favorites, classics, and original compositions, I am most at home as a piano stylist and composer. I provide something unique for venues seeking elegance with a personal flare. On the creative side of music, I have recorded one album of original compositions (Midpoint, now available on iTunes), arranged two full-length original musicals, and composed one musical.
I was an independent piano teacher for 15 years, most recently as owner/founder of a studio with 3 employees. During this time I simultaneously played piano for churches and contracted with many theater companies as music director/accompanist. I continue to teach composition, improvisation, and arranging to advanced students and adults. I am also a published writer with a passion for blogging, cooking, and of course, music! |
