I am a professional, and caring instructor with over thirteen years of experience in piano instruction, performance coaching and adjudicating. I enjoy teaching a wide range of students, from 5 year old beginners up to advanced students, and individuals at each level can pursue serious study with my personalized, structured approach.
Mission: May my enthusiasm and love for learning music be an inspiration to all my students! I promise to help my students develop personal pride and enjoyment in their musical growth. May each one develop beautiful technique, self-awareness, powerful practice skills, and creative expression.
I offer weekly private piano instruction that also includes corresponding instruction in theory, ear training, composition, and music history. Students are given several performance opportunities throughout the year including piano performance parties, group workshops, piano exams, auditions and competitions. Formal studio recitals are held 1-2 times per year.
I run my own professional private studio in Jamaica Plain, and am also on the faculty and the Chair of the Piano Department at Indian Hill Music in Littleton, MA. I have previous experience as Assistant Director of the Piano Preparatory Division at Walla Walla College, WA. |
