Additional Info:	During the 1990s I taught piano at The Purcell School before taking up the position of Associate Professor, Head of Keyboard at the South African College of Music, University of Cape Town (in succession to Prof. Lamar Crowson). From my base in South Africa (from 1997 to 2008), I travelled extensively to perform and teach, giving regular masterclasses at the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conferences, also in New Zealand and the USA. In 2006, I was in residence at London's Royal Academy of Music, where I gave a public masterclass and deputised for Prof. Christopher Elton. I have extensive experience as an adjudicator (Cape Town and Bloemfontein Eistedfodds), and as a national and international competition jury member (the Pretoria International Piano Competition, Sanlam National Music Competition, the Kawai Australasian Youth Piano Concerto Competition, and others). Several of my former students are now active in the profession as pianists and teachers (Daniel Grimwood, James Baillieu, Kathy Tagg and Berta Brozgul). Among my students' many national and international successes are the International Russian Music Piano Competition, BBC Young Artists’ Platform, Royal Overseas League, Derby Concerto Competition, South East Arts and UNISA Overseas Scholarship Competition.
Fees:	£ 75.00 Pounds Per Hour My only requirement for accepting a student is their level of passion to play! I do not distinguish between amateurs and professionals in this regard, and am as happy working with adult learners as advanced students as intermediate level players.
